Neovia Vietnam 4 Jul 2019

Neovia Extreme spirit has become a tradition to all of Neovia employees through internal sports activities as well as those are held out of the scale of Neovia. Especially in May of recent years, the spirit of Neovia Extreme is strongly promoted at the competition of Ironman 70.3 Vietnam.

IRONMAN 70.3 Viet Nam 2019 was held from May 9 to May 12 in Da Nang city. Nearly 2,200 athletes represented 60 countries competing in this race. This is the fifth consecutive year the central coastal city hosted the international triathlon competition (swimming – pedaling – running). But unlike four years ago, Da Nang was honorific of being the host city of the Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship 2019.

Participating in this tournament, individuals and relay teams will challenge themselves to endurance tests including 1.9km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running. The interesting difference at Ironman 70.3 this year is the racetrack was designed along 5 coastal districts. This not only made athletes have more excitement but also an opportunity to introduce the beauty of Da Nang beaches to domestic and foreign tourists when coming to the competition.

In the spirit of Neovia Extreme, at this event, two members of Neovia Vietnam are Mr. Eric Fabry and Mr. Romain Cabrol who actively participated and achieved impressive results:

Mr. Eric Fabry:

IRONMAN 70.3 Individual: 1900 m swim – 90 km bike – 21 km run

Result: 5h47mn, rank 398 over 1842 participants

Mr. Romain Cabrol

  • SPRINT RACE COURSE: 750 m swim – 20 km bike – 5 km run

Result: 1h41 mn, rank 116 over 233 participants

  • IRONMAN 70.3 Team relay: 1900 m swim,

The competition is not just a sports race for endurance but also where athletes train their willpower and explore their limits. Hopefully, the above achievements will be a strong inspiration and motivation for Neovia staff to exercise health and sports spirit – Neovia Extreme spirit.
